The SDF-1 is the mother ship in the Macross series. Initially it was an alien spaceship which crashes into the Earth.

Main cannon: A "super dimension energy" cannon which is powerful enough to destroy several enemy space ship with a single shot. Though, this cannon consume a whole lots of energy and time to recharge.

Defence System
Pinpoint barrier is developed from the remaining energy left over from the missing space-fold drive. It consist of 3 energy disk which is manually control by 3 operators using trackballs.
Omni-directional barrier: is a barrier which enclose the entire space ship from attack.
